When should I start dress shopping?
We recommend that you start your dress shopping as early as possible, as this will open up the selection of dresses available to you for your big day. On average, to avoid rush fees, it takes about 6-8 months for a gown to be made (though we work with some designers who can rush gowns in as little as 4-6 weeks). Plus, you should always allocate another 1-2 months for alterations.
How much are your gowns?
Our bridesmaid and special event dresses are priced between $360-$500 CAD and bridal gowns typically range from $2200-$7000 CAD. We also have a select few bridal options that fall between $1200-$2000 CAD and lots of great separates!
What is a trunk show?
A trunk show is an exclusive dress event, usually hosted over one or two weekends, intended to generate some buzz around a specific collection! This is always an excellent opportunity to see up and coming trends, new designs or find a gown totally unique to you!
Do I need an appointment to shop at B&R?
Yes! In order to give you the very best, intimate & fully personalized experience, our boutique is open by appointment only. You can request an appointment by clicking here.
What can I expect?
At B&R, we strive to keep your appointment as refined as possible (which means it is not your typical bridal experience). Your initial bridal appointment will run for 1 hour. Bridesmaids can expect 45 minutes. Your follow-up is usually about half of that time. Your entire appointment will be spent with a personal stylist who will pull dresses, jewelry, accessories and shoes, based on who you are, your vision and key elements that are important to you for your big day! This means we dress you too!
Will your samples fit me?
Our bridal samples range from dress size 8 through 14, but not to worry, we have all sorts of clips, slips and tricks that will help you get a solid feel for fit. In addition, all of our designers are extremely versatile and are happy to work with us to make sure we are able to accommodate your best-suited size!
What can I do to prepare for my appointment?
In order for us to be fully prepared for your time at B&R, always keep us informed regarding the number of people attending your appointment, the designer or style you are interested in, your budget, and any additional wedding inspiration or other details you would like to share with us! All of this information will be collected in our Appointment Request form.
Because our space is intimate, please only arrive 5 minutes prior to your appointment. We recommend wearing nude undergarments, hair up or tied back, and little or no makeup. This will help us to ensure the dress fitting is a seamless process throughout the appointment!
Is there an appointment booking fee? And what is Blush and Raven's appointment cancellation policy?
For regular appointments with one of our Stylists, we do not charge a booking fee. However, as of Nov. 10th, 2018, we have revised our policies to require a valid credit card to secure a Bridal or Bridesmaids consultation. Also, effective Nov. 10th, 2018, we will charge a $100 plus GST fee if an appointment is cancelled within 24 business hours, or if the appointment is forfeited because of a last-minute change to a client’s schedule or a no show. This fee cannot be applied to future purchases.
Statutory Holiday Weekend Booking Fee
To book an appointment on a Saturday Holiday Weekend, there will be a non-refundable $100 plus GST booking fee that will be charged at the time of booking. If a gown purchase is made at that appointment, this fee will be applied towards your purchase. Future purchases and accessory purchases are not included.
Buy Out Booking Fee
We offer a buy out option for your entire female guest of honour line-up! In a buy out appointment, you are guaranteed to have the entire showroom for your party for up to 3 hours depending on your booking requirements and size of party. We will cover all of your booking needs prior to the appointment. A buy out appointment is $150 plus GST, and is non-refundable after the booking has been secured nor will this fee be applied to any purchases during or after the appointment.
What is Blush and Raven’s refund policy?
B&R is considered a “Stockist” not a “Retailer”. We are a by-appointment only Boutique, with a showroom of sample inventory. This means, all items purchased are considered “Made to Order” at individual customer request. Therefore, all purchases are non-refundable and non-exchangeable after a purchase has been made.
